The Explorer program is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America and assists young men and women ages 14 to 21 to come to a better understanding of the nature and responsibilities of law enforcement. The Explorer Program also provides a valuable opportunity for young adults to explore the possibility of a career in police work. 

Explorers will be able to gain knowledge of police work in the following areas:

Criminal and Motor Vehicle Laws - Patrol Procedures - Report writing - Police Procedures - Officer safety - Community Policing  - Traffic Direction - Basic criminal investigation
