Emergency 911

The Pelham Police K-9 Unit assists the Pelham Police Department in many ways. This includes, but is not limited to, suspect apprehensions, searching for missing persons, narcotic searches and building searches.  The Pelham Police K-9 Unit is also utilized by other police departments when requested.

The Pelham Police K-9 Unit consists of Master Patrolman Eugene Stahl and his K-9 partner Zahn.  Zahn was purchased with a grant supplied by the Working Dog Foundation. Zahn graduated from the New Hampshire Canine Academy in Portsmouth, NH on May 2, 2005

Raytheon donates bulletproof vest for police K9. Information Links

On February 15, 2007 Master Patrolman Stahl and K9 Zahn were presented with a bulletproof vest courtesy of Raytheon's "Vest a Dog" program.

Employees at Raytheon's Woburn facility donated the money necessary to purchase the vest for the Pelham Police Department. The facilities security team organized the benefit and recently donated a vest to Dracut Police K9 Mason. The vest will offer protection to Zahn, who was stabbed in the line of duty in 2005 while apprehending a wanted felon.
